Here are the sizzle/polish mix that I kept. I have 3 more that haven't grown out of the grow pen yet. They are 2 black and a splash. These are blue and a splash. I don't know if they're girls or boys yet. Fingers crossed their all girls. Attachments:

This is the same splash as from the pic above. It sure gave me a hard time getting a pic. Ignore the nosey cockerel in the background. He was wondering why I was chasing that chick around pointing that thing at it. lol Attachments:

Only thing wrong is bad toe separation in these 2. I have more in the grow pen and hoping to get some better ones. If not these will go in the breeding pen in a few months. The roo has good everything so hopefully he will pass on his good genes.

I can't wait till they grow up so I can see how mixing the polish in with the frizzled silkie turns out. I may do it again with another hen. Switch up colors. I have 1 bantam polish roo and thats what he's for. Right now he's being a bachelor. I may put him with the paint sizzle hen next. Maybe.

I took this today. The date on my camera is wrong. I have 7 chicks and 5 turned out frizzled. The partridge and paint are my favorites. They're 2 of the frizzled ones. Attachments:

The splash sizzle I hatched out 4 of her eggs doing a fertility test before I sold the eggs and 3 of them turned out frizzled. The chick above with the black spots and yellow head I'm calling a paint for now till it feathers out. I had another one hatch just like it yesterday. These should be interesting to see how they turn out. The partridge one I'm hoping is a girl but it's larger than the others. Time will tell.

Got more babies today. My new cabinet is really doing it's job. I've also discovered that dry incubating is working out very well. It's nearly impossible for me to get humidity up in the cabinet. Something else I need to work on but I'm getting chicks and keets. Actually they are hatching when they are due for lock down. Three times already I've looked over at the cabinet and saw chicks looking back at me. I don't know how they don't get hurt because they fall to the bottom. I try to keep an eye out for any eggs that are pipped but they are sneeky little buggars. They hatch early before I can move them to to the hatcher.
