That was the only one I got. Most all her chicks turn out different. I like to hatchout her eggs just to see what might be in them. The last few have been clear which is not normal for her. Her last one that hatched was a chocolate color, even it's legs. I've attached a pic of some of her other chicks. There are only 2 in this pic that are hers. There aer 2 Orphington chicks and 2 silkie/ee crosses, those are the light ones. The one in the far back and the black one on the front right are the Production red crosses. Both of these have feathered feet. There are a couple more in this pen that are clean legged that are hers, by an Ameracauna roo. I'm sure i'll sell the other crosses, for sure if they're roos. That black one is just so pretty. I want to see how they feather out. The Black orphington cockerel will be for sale. He carries the lavender gene. It's the black on up front left. And thee is a Lavender Orphington cockerel in there too. It's in the middle. I have a little banty in there with the frizzle gene that is a buff color but it runs into the run when I open the pen door and back in the pen when I look in the run. It's shy I reckon. Attachments:

It turned out very pretty but I only got the 1 and ended up selling it at the auction when I did my flock reduction for the winter.

I'll be bringing the chicks and youngsters from those birds I posted pictures of to the next swap provided it's close enough to me. I don't like to travel far with chickens in the car. I'll have some that are nearing breeding age all the way down to a couple weeks old. I may go ahead and hatch more out but I reallly want to give the girls a break. They've been busy all winter hatching chicks. There are 9 more eggs left for them to sit on and should be all hatched in the next week or two. I've been trading and selling the eggs I do get. I may have to save some back and pull a broody and let her take care of one more bunch before a break to take to the swap. Just depends on where it's gonna be held.
