Great! I hope she works good for you. Has her coloring changed any? Some of the pullets that you saw here have turn out to have some really nice colors. Very unusual. They got to enjoy a watermelon today.

I would love to see a white Phoenix rooster. I've wanted one for years and never had any luck with aquiring one at an affordable price. I think they are just beautiful. I'm sure you've seen that white Onagadori. It's drop dead gorgeous.

Good day for working outside not that bad today . Made some good progress on Phoenix pen today looks like one big sand box . Jest have the footing done. Will start working on walls tomorrow post pic soon .

Cool! I started on my 3 new phoenix pens today. I'll have pictures tomorrow of the progress it got to dark on us today to get photos. I still have to get my sand. Wess. What kind of sand did you use?

Man thats a big pen i used some wash sand I have a washed out spot sand builds up and its free .

I used long post to make up for the slope of the ground. We finished framing it out today and started the roof. Thats nice having free sand wash up. We only got red clay hard as a rock. I think i'm gonna try a 5-6inch bed of sand.I dont know if its too much or too little. Everything is developing good. I'm getting ready to shut down the incubator for this year. I have some white phoenix eggs i have been setting just to have some ready in the spring. After that i'm done.....

Its looking good. The divider will be handy to have. I wish i would had used my brain and put my sand in before framing it up. Oh well. Im ready to get my birds out of all the small cages and into the big ones.
