I've got alot of chicken aprons i'll bring also. There are a few quail aprons too. They tend to get bare backs alot worse than chickens I think. I'll get to work on making more for quail.
What are silkie chicks going for. Mine will be from about a week old to 4 or 5 months old. I'm still working on picking out the ones I plan to keep. I'll have more younger ones i'm sure.
I may bring a couple just so people can see how they are turning out. These won't be for sale as they will be breeding stock. I'm planning on coming to the first one. Not sure about the second one yet.
That is if the first one is in Trenton. I'll have to go back and look at the date. I'm thinking it's on a saturday which would be April 2nd?

So, are we for sure doing Trenton and is it for the first of April? Does someone need to run it by the Feed Store?

I have a few birds I think are show worthy. I'd like to bring them to the swap in Trenton if somebody can take a look at them and tell me if they are. Tips on how to get them ready would be helpful. The only chicken show i've ver been to was at our fair that Tyson sponsors and it's all from their chickens that they have kids raise and fatten up. Not like any fancy chickens just meat birds.

The reasons behind having multiple sales is to give everyone a opportunity to make it at least to one sale or all. There is no pressure to try to make all the sales, as I will be unable to make the one in Trenton.

Is there anything I need to do or bring. I've never been to one of these. I'm bringing silkies and aprons. I know they have to have cages, food and water and some chairs for us to sit in but is there anything else? On one more thing. What time do we need to be there?

Most people get there around 8 am. It helps to bring boxes if you plan to sell anything. You might want to bring snacks. which one(s) are you shooting for?

It looks like I can not make anything from now till after Easter Sunday. I joined the choir at my church and am singing some solos for Easter with them on a large piece of music production . We normally rehearse on Weds. nights but we are having some extra Saturday rehersals now through Easter and since I have made such a committment I must follow through with this project first before I try to come to a meet. Now don't get the idea I am a pro but have met the "reasonable doubt" criteria and said "yes" when asked!
I am missing seeing everyone...ran into Gina last weekend and we had a mini-meet with information swap, chit chat...everything but chickens and some of Timbo's grilling! Hope to see everyone soon enough. We have a long summer to go then the fall as well.
Mike
