So, this afternoon I ask my hubby if he minds if I use his hair clippers to shave the goat. He loves me, so he said o.k. I have her shaved and cleaned. Brushed her coat- she has flakey skin, can I bathe her? Anyway, I milk about 2 cups and leave the rest for her baby. I gave the milk to Jesse because I don't have a milking bucket. He loves it. Hopefully I will get a bucket within the next few days. I put cream on her teets and we were done.

I LOVE goats milk soap. Do you make any? I get mine from a lady I do egg business with on BYC. She has wonderful scented soaps. I don't use anything else. If a local person sold it, I would definitely buy it. I done a swap for a book on making soap. I would love to learn how. (as if I need something else to do)

I am super new to the goat expxerience. Right now it's just for fun and a little milk. Who knows where it will lead? I have tonight's milk pasteurized and cooling. It's just a little because I only milk her once/day and I leave plenty for her baby.
