YIPPEE EASTER PEEPS!! I can't believe it, this is SO COOL!! So far we have two hatched and looking spunky, and two more eggs pipped. I am so excited words just won't do!! I'll try and post a pic later but momma hen is not exactly showing them off with pride, and I don't want to disturb her much til the others are hatched. Do you just put chick starter and water nearby and momma lets them out after all are hatched?
Thank You Rinksgi (she helped me out with eggs)

Careful auto5man, hatching chicks can get very addictive

It is addicting. I am a hatchaholic. No matter how many times I say it, it never helps the problem. I hatched 30 chicks this Easter and culled 2. That was actually a lousy hatch because I sat 175 eggs. I was having serious incubation problems. We started the cabinet incubator but with so much to do around here it isn't finished yet. It's a good thing I have 5 broody's right now, well 3, 2 have chicks now. Attachments:

Timbo and Chowdown the pix are awesome, thanks for those! Yes, the hatching, and chicks in general, are addicting. I currently have 8 chicks in my den in their Rubbermaid (6 AmberLinks and 2 americaunas I couldn't pass up), PLUS the 8 cuckoo marans chicks at my buddies house, two of which will be mine. We are already planning our next hatch, lol. So many choices hmmm,,,wait for another broody, build an incubator??

My Easter born girls are just starting to lay...Yippee! The are all beautiful hens. We ended up keeping 4 hens, two out of four are feather footed.
