Hi, we are a homeschooling family in East Memphis. We have started with 3 pullets from Russell's Feed in Collierville (one Rhode Island Red, and two Ameraucanas). My husband is building a chicken tractor for when they are older and we hope to add 2-3 Polish hens this spring/summer. Glad I found the site and look forward to meeting some folks at the TSC in Millington & Jackson.

Im very excited about becoming a new member. I have about 8 chickens who are 3 months old. I've had to separate one, due to her being sick. This is my very first go around rasing chickens, and now I dont know what to do with her.And i have no clue what is wrong with her. She want eat,or drink, doesnt walk around much at all,and doesnt want to open her eyes. Her feather in the inside doesnt look right, and she just looks sickly. I dont know, Can anyone help, please?

I also got two Americauna chicks from Russel's in Collierville about 3 weeks ago...that is a really cool store. Hope to meet you sometime. I have 6 birds in my laying flock...Buff Orpington(x2), Easter Eggers(x2), 1 White Leghorn, and a Barred Rock. It's my first flock, started last summer. The whole family has really enjoyed the experience.
