That dog that got dropped off a few weeks ago and Bobby already gave a warning shot to was near our property. I have a missing hen already and i'm pretty sure thats where she went but I don't know for sure. Next time we catch it in the yard it won't leave.
I'll get pics of the paints when we get their pen done. Right now they're in a large rabbit cage and it's not easy at all to get a good pic. They're pen is next and Bobby cut the wood for the frame today so it won't be long.

A paint hen. You can't see her spots very well but they're there. Make the pic bigger and you can barely see them. Attachments:

We normally use materials we have laying around but most of the wood has been used so we had to go out and buy more. Bobby cuts the boards lenthwise to use for the frames. It makes them lighter to move and also makes the boards go farther. The hardware for locks, hinges and door handles we get at Rural King where they have a larger selection than Walmart and cheaper than Lowes. We didn't work on the second pen yesterday. I spent the afternoon painting existing pens already in use.

Now the original pen looks so pathetic we decided to remodel it. lol. It's been renovated so many times then something slapped over a doorway to cover it for winter. It's all patched together. It sits back there begging for more than a bandaid. My splash and black silkies are in it and I plan to separate them anyway. I have a black roo in the paints pen that will be the roo for the black silkie hens. The splash roo is in the pen with the black and splash hens.
Big plans but we have to get the garden planted and mow the yard before we do anymore pens.
