Hello. Newbie here from Decatur County too. I am also new to chickens. I have a trio of white silkies, one of which hatched 9 of 9 eggs a couple of weeks ago. They are sooo cute ;D I made a tractor for them. I'll post pic when I finish all of the trim and windows.
I also have buff and light brahmas chicks that I got from R&J in March. I am planning a coop for them. Right now they are in a chain link pen with netting over the top and roosting in a large doghouse.
Planning on attending Chicken Swap at TSC in Jackson on Saturday. I will bring 6 white silkie chicks (7wks old) to sell. Hope to meet some of you there.

Welcome and it's nice to meet you. I also have silkies. I'm testing fertility on my new ones right now but the colors I have are white, black, partridge, buff, splash, paint and porcelain. I also have sizzles, JB quail and BW quail. My grandson has fantail pigeons, oegb and ducklings. I have a couple frizzled cochin chicks, Production red chick and a BR turkey poult. The non feathered residents are a black cat, chihuahua and a pain in the tail feather puppy mixed breed.

Hi! Welcome to the group. We will be there Saturday as well (trying to convince Chowdownssilkiefarm she needs to go ahead get the rest of our baby red turkeys!) we look forward to meeting you. We have burbon red and standard bronze turkeys and an assortment of ducks. We also have blue laced red wyandottes and speckled Sussex chickens we hatched this year.
