We put fiberglass sheets over the sides of our runs in the winter. They still get light and it keeps out drafts.

Plastic will work- leave one side open. Unprotected north side usually the main winter killer.

tree limb went through the roof of my new pen and my rooster pen looks like a pretzel. My neighbor came over and helped me straighten the rooster pen back like it supposed too. I'll have to get someone to come repair the roof on my new pens. It's been one thing after another.
