I know. It's so hard to resist. I"ve thinned down my flock for winter except for the last of the quail i've been putting off. I want to pick out some good big girls to add to my breeding pens for next year so i'm waiting a little longer than usual. I hope this winter isn't too bad and I can't ship eggs like I did last winter. It sure helps with the feed bill. But our freezer is nearly full. I saved room for those deer Bobby and Gavin will get.

I just had to put down a beautiful paint sizzle chick. It developed wry neck and just kept getting worse. Poor thing was looking at me with it's head upside down and turned. Almost looked like something from a horror movie. What causes wry neck? Anybody know? If so do you know how to fix it? I rarely have this happen so I have no idea how to fix it except cull.

Finish with the last of the quail but I ended up mowing the yard. I got half of it done today and if it don't rain on me i'll get the other half tomorrow. It's a big yard and our riding mower is messed up so it's the push mower and did I say it's a big yard?
