I know this is a weird posting but my rooster disappeared and I need one. Tim is looking tomorrow for me. I want a buff Orpington or Americana rooster. Something that is good around my girls and can protect them but also a good rooster around people. I probally had a one in a million rooster but I now need another one.

Didn't Mike have some orps? I think that is his name. I horrible with names it was Garden daddy I believe that had some at a sale during the summer. They where beautiful. I have some black orp eggs coming in the spring. I'm sure I can get some buff eggs and hatch one out for you but of course it won't be a roo for a while. I'm good at hatching out mostly boys. lol It's probably going to be a miracle to get a ameracauna roo thats nice. Every one I ever had always turned mean no matter how nice it was in the beginning. I had one that was so sweet then one day it turned and would attack me every time he got near anybody. Do you have any eggs that where recently laid from the girls? You may be able to hatch out a roo with the same disposition.

It's odd that when you don't need a roo they're everywhere but when you need one they're no where. I need a couple roos too.

I have five babies right now and 2 teenagers. So far all look like hens. But I also have 7 in incubator but they are silkie and polish.

I have buff orpingtons. I only have one roo right now and he is a beauty. I do have some younger orpingtons now but don't know yet if they're hens or Roos. I'll look closer today and see what I can find out.

You aren't the only one needing a rooster, lol. I need a big one for my bossy girls - barred rocks and australorps. I might trade some silkies for one - I've got too many roo's there of course! I'm near Selmer.

I'm near Selmer. One of my juvenile silkies is trying to crow. I did say trying. It sounds pretty pathetic. He's got alot to learn but there are plenty of roos here for him to learn from.
