My ducklings haven't done anything yet. It's been 28 days today. I candled and out of 21 eggs 2 had stopped about mid way and the others are completely dark. I only saw movement in 3 eggs. So I'm still waiting

I so wanted some Amercaunas but hubby said no to getting any at Tractor Supply. I guess he thinks 30 babies is enough! Lol!

Well one duckling hatched then the bator started stinkin. Turns out there where a couple bad eggs in there and those 2 other eggs that had movement in them quit so I just removed them all before there was an explosion in there. I'd rather loose a couple than ruin them all with an explosion of rotten egg. makes me want to hurl just thinking of it. YUCK!!!
coxm3- just do what I do. Don't take hubby with you and go get what you want. He probably won't even notice them along the 30 others. lol One thing about getting Ameracaunas from anyplace other than a breeder is you will most likely end up with Easter Eggers. I personally wouldn't mind but Ameracauna people are sensative to the difference between the two. If you plan to sell eggs or any that you may hatch from them.

I breed Amerucanas. If you are interested send me a message and we can talk about getting you some really pretty REAL Amerucanas. I have nothing against the EE like them too but had really wanted the real thing so was lucky to pick these up last year.

Ohhhh....I would love some! But they would have to be 3 weeks old to blend in with the others because my husband would kill me. LOL! I thought he might not notice if I just added to the pile, but he is as crazy about these babies as I am. I am sure he would notice new ones.
