Just joined. I live near Greenfield. I would like to buy some layer/meat mix chickens, primarily for laying. I need chickens that are large enough to keep behind welded wire with 2 by 4 inch mesh, 6 ft. high. Any suggestions as to breed and as to where I could find such a chicken? I know it's late in the year for grown hens. What about the sale in Trenton tomorrow?
I would like about 7 hens.

I'm sorry, I've been out of pocket lately...just now reading your post. Yes, I think I would like to buy your hens. Could I come get them this Saturday, or would that be too late? I see you're from Jackson. Where exactly? I'll be coming from the north...Greenfield...on Hiway 45.

Travis do you still have any of those young roosters? I need a cheap adult/juvenile clean leg standard breed or even mix roo.
