I "had" a hen that got bitten by a cotton mouth. Now that just isn't gonna cut it. I've set out traps with no luck. We've chased it down and it got away. Today Gavin saw another one that was about 5 foot long he said. I don't know if they get that big but it had what I call the hershey kisses design on it. All this rain has brought them out I suppose. I lost a very good Orp hen.
Poor girl went under the porch to do her normal bug catching and got bitten. The very porch we use everyday and Bobby was planting flowers right next to it down the wheel chair ramp. It could have been him that got bit. These things have got to go. I haven't been in my garden because I'm afraid I'll get bitten myself and now it's got weeds taking over and my okra is going to waste. Gotta have that okra.

Well, I think I caught the snake that killed my hen. Unfortunately it was caught in a sticky trap in my kitchen. It was about 3 ft long and a cotton mouth. Did you see that IN MY KITCHEN. It happened last week but I'm still leary when I go in the kitchen.
