I'm going to do my best to be there. I'm giving a baby shower that afternoon at 6pm but I'm going to try and get everything ready before hand so I can come. I hated I missed the last meeting. If you like I can help make posters (I'm a graphic designer) and put them up at R & J or wherever you need in Jackson.

We are looking for a logo for the club but i'm running short of ideas. If you have any ideas for one please let us know. We need to get flyers out everywhere. I don't ever go south of north jackson so if we could get something together i would appricate the help.

I'll see if I can't work something up! Give me a few days. I'm pretty slammed at work but I will try and work it in. Sounds fun! ;D

Can someone help me with a question on the NPIP certification? I dont understand it at all obviously because from what I am hearing if you are NPIP certified you cant buy stock from hobby farmers but you can buy from auctions. I deal with VERY few people when getting new birds (but I have bought at auctions a few times) and even then I never introduce them to my birds for a good two or three months (I have an isolation pen on the other side of the property). I also like to deal with people who have smaller flocks with excellent hygiene practices and better birds then what you would get from a hatchery. If I am NPIP certified I have three options 1) buy from another NPIP certified person 2) buy from hatcheries (who have questionable stock and introduce tons of eggs, and bacteria, from different farmers on a daily basis) 3) buy from auctions. Basically, I have completely knocked out the small farmer who has more time to put towards caring for his animals. I have also seen some of the most diseased birds I have laid eyes on at auctions so it makes no sense to me. I wont go near my birds after an auction with the shoes or clothes on that I wore there because of some of the things that I have seen.
