richie, you could maybe find someone who wants to get rid of a kid's playhouse and then cut another opening in the dog kennel and add the "coop"/playhouse or other built house on the outside space and then have the entire kennel for a larger run. Or you could build one of several styles, etc. richie...go to the site below and click on the pictures you want to see. Each one opens up to different styles and sizes as per each picture you click on, small, medium, large, tractors, brooders, etc. Hope this helps...and have fun! www.backyardchickens.com/coopdesigns.htmlMike...aka...Garden Daddy

That site is the devil. I'm standing in lowes right now buying lumber to build a coop design we got off there.

I know...there are so many good design ideas there and I want a lot of them. I bought a metal shed at The Home Depot and added premade privacy fence panels, added chicken wire over the top and then I had a coop and run. That is how I got mine built. But there are a lot of designs I really like there...have fun!

My husband thinks he's a mountain man or something like that. Gotta pay for that coop some way.

I would love to have cute coops. Mine are serviceable. Nothing fancy. They are secure and serve their purpose. The closest I have to cute is the Sizzle pen. Attachments:
