what did you do for humidity. Do you have one of those gadgets that keep track of the humidity for you?

Well, like I told Timbo, I think I miss calculated on my days. I started the eggs 3 Fridays ago. So I expected them on what I thought was day 21 (Friday). But after reading some more, I think you actually start counting the next day, is that correct??
As of 4:30 this morning #7 finally hatched out. Haven't seen any movement in the remaining eggs so I'm not sure if they will hatch or not. Right now I'm only at a 50% hatch rate, which isn't good. But for my first time I'll take it.
We've got 4 barred, 2 wells, and one cochin.
cks4me- I don't have a humidity regulator, which I think MIGHT be part of the problem. The brinsea's have a regulator adapter, I'm just using a still air incubator. If we like hatching, I might upgrade next year. I do have a humidity gauge, but it's one that goes in a reptile aquarium so I'm not sure how accurate it is. I'm just trying to keep it between 55-70% humidity based on it's reading.

Early or late hatches are usually due to temperature not humidity.

I haven't yet. Been busy moving our new coop and watching chicks hatch. Going to try and call this week. If he still has them.

Normally where the thermometers are. I get a digital that has the temp and the humidity. It's probably not 100% accurate, but it's close enough.

I have one barred that would be fertile. I have six others but no rooster out there. I ordered a a humidity thingy from the net for I think more than 15. My last catastrophe was from humidity issues. broke my heart...waiting for my incubator. Have some fertile Araucanian eggs I want to try and one welsummer.

Oh how cute! We put our first batch in Sunday night. Hope they hatch! We haven't been getting many eggs lately, so there are only 9 or so. And we got some new girls and I'm not sure roo likes them so they might not be fertile. I let them out this morning and he was chasing them all over the yard.
