Michael,
I have a question for you. I just got baby chicks and wanted a couple of Guineas. Do you have to get a pair or multiple Guineas? And if I get them young will they get along with my chicks? I had some when I was small and they did fine with my chickens, but it has been a long time. Not sure that I want a male right now. Any suggestions?

We let ours run free and we have yet to see any ticks on us or our dogs. They cover the area of our home, the lot next door then the area where they have a large shop and their large yard. We only had 4. They would roam all over the place even out back in the woods. We lost 2 in the storm last week so we're left with 2 roos.
As far as the guinea eggs. I would be interested if you could ship them. I'd like 2 dozen if you can and of course will pay shipping. I ship eggs all the time and it will probably run $10 to $15 for 2 dozen.

Herb, I will have about 17 Guinea eggs ready for you tomorrow. Give me call after 2:30 and we can meet up somewhere.
Gayle, It is better to get at least two Guineas (just like most animals) to keep each other occupied. However, I cannot sex Guinea keets (though, I have been very lucky with my male/female ratio). My male Guineas sometimes chase my Welsummer roosters, but they never fight. If you want a certain sex of Guineas, I would buy extra and sell the unwanted ones after they begin to call (they can be sexed by their calls).
chowdownsfarm, I ship eggs all the time. I use a large flat rate box for shipping 2 dozen eggs ($15). Medium flat rate box for 1 dozen ($10). I bubble wrap each egg, and pack them so they cannot move in the box. I can start collecting for you next week (about Wed.). I have one more order to fill after Herb's. Just let me know.

I would like to buy some of your fertile guinea eggs for hatching, at least two dozen, or three if you collect that many in the 7-day time frame. Please let me know when I can get some from you. I'm expecting a hatch April 5th and will want to start them soon after. Thanks! Karen

I just noticed this post is a year old. Are you still a member and do you still have guinea eggs for sale at the price listed?
