I have guinea eggs for sale for $6 per dozen, or 2 dozen for $10. Pearl and Lavender Guineas are running together on my property. My incubators are full, and I would hate for them to go to waste. I tried to post a picture, but had no luck. If you want to see a picture, I can email you. BTW, I am in Atoka.

Michael Thank you so much for the eggs. I'm sorry i wasnt able to come out and get them from you. We have been cleaning up from the storm this weekend and i pulled a muscle that kept me from getting out of bed and moving. My wife helped me get up a few minutes ago to see how much i would be able to move and i looked at the eggs they look great love the dark eggs. Thanks again cant wait til they hatch.

No problem, we were going right past your place anyway. Good luck with the hatch. (I have 36 guineas due to hatch this weekend...as long as the power outages haven't doomed the hatch).

Could someone give the scoop on guineas? I have heard and read so many differing opinions that I am completely mix up. I have heard that they are really a pain in the ... and then I read that they are good to have around that they eat mice and snakes. I also read that they are hard to keep around, are very loud and fly off easily. Just would like some real information from those of you who have them. Tks

cks4me,
I have had success keeping Guineas around IF they grow up with chickens. I bought adult Guineas before, kept them in a pen for a few weeks, and they flew away the first time I opened the pen. My Guineas grew up with Welsummer chicks. They all come back to the hen house with the Welsummer every night, and they lay eggs in the nesting boxes. The Guineas are louder than chickens/roosters, but they do eat more bugs. I cannot walk up and grab a Guinea (like I can my chickens), but I'm not sure I would want to anyway. That's my two cents worth.

Michael is right. I only will raise them if I have a broodie hen to do it but they will still remain wilder than chickens.
