Not anymore. I used to raise Burbon Reds. Rio's are beautiful. I wish you alot of luck. Turkey are so much fun to raise and hear cluck, purr, gobble, and love the drumming. ;D

Blue slates, bourbon reds, bronze and black spanish. If you need any help on raising them just let us know. I'm taking it that you are incubating some to raise yourself?

Hatched out 15 of 17 eggs. One hatched a day late and was deformed. Now have 14 healthy poults, week old Wednesday. Have more to hatch Thursday or Friday. Fertility has been great, have one male to 3 hens. I have some extra eggs that I may list on here to trade for some hens that are laying. Need more hens for my grandson.

roho, I take them out of turner 3-4 days ahead of hatch time. Little turkeys do surf better than chicks but its better to get them out of turner imho.

Roho, you are right on the money at taking them out of the turner on the 25th day. I always bump up the humidity considerably with a wet sponge about that time too. IF you go to help the poults out of the shell (not recommended but sometimes you cant help it) make certain not to rip the inner membrane on turkey eggs in the area where the blood vessels are..............they will bleed out and have a stroke on you.
