I just found this forum yesterday and I'm glad I did!;D A lot of great info on here. I've got my mind set on raising a few quail. Wondering if anybody has any jumbo brown coturnix quail chicks, or some that might be hatching in the next few weeks?

I have Jumbo Brown's. Just had 6 hatch this morning and have somewhere around 25 due about the same time next week. I would have had more hatch but I had a mishap with the incubator. My fault actualy but I did get the 6 chicks.

I also have Georgia Giant Bob Whites but their not quite old enough to tell the sex of them yet. When I can I may have some of those for sale also. Their suppose to get up to a pound dressed.

That sounds perfect chowdownsfarm! I'm building a cage for 25 to 30 quail, and I should have everything ready by next week. If you could pm me a price and where you're located, or post in here, whichever way you are comfortable with I would appreciate it. Thanks again!

I sent you a PM with both the addresses since we're moving at the time. I won't be hard to find because we're moving next door and there is only 1 house next door so it's not hard to find. I'm in the trailer now but moving into the house. Nobody has had a hard time finding me. I'm not worried about the members here knowing my address because I plan to have some swaps at my house anyway and ya'all are welcome to stop by for a visit anytime your in the area. I don't have many people around here that like to talk about chickens.

The JB's hatched today. It's like popcorn when they get started. lol Out of 26 eggs 25 have hatched so far. The last one is dancing in the incubator. I"m sure it'll be out soon if it hasn't already.

We all made it home and the little ones are settling in and doing great, as you can see it didn't take them long to find the feed dish. Just wanted to thank all the members on here for their help and especially Chowdownsfarm. Oh, and if your up her way, you've got to stop and see that black orphington rooster, he's HUGE!! I swear you could put a saddle on him and ride it around the yard! Attachments:

Yep, they're messy little buggars. And the roo your speaking of, his name is Blue. He loves me but not so with anybody else. And he is massive. I don't think he would like me anymore if I put a saddle on him. I don't think I want such a huge rooster to not like me either. Those spurs look like bear claws.
