I got more porcelain eggs again. I have 5 broody's so I'm gonna put one to work. I don't want to chance these eggs not aking it because of the LG incubator. They'll have a better chance at making it. I also got some bbs ameracauna eggs from show quality stock. I caught a good trade. I'm suppose to have some SQ partridge sikie eggs in the mail too. Hopefully the PO isn't too hard on them.
Wish the eggs luck in developing well and healthy chicks for me.

That it is. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have either eggs in the incubator or chicks in a brooder. I have 1 incubator driving me insane right now. I can't keep the temp down. I'll have chicks in the hatcher again soon as well as under broody's. I'll bring the chicks inside when they hatch. I may bring in a couple broody's as well to tend to them. I may as well live in a barn. I need the girls to just stop laying so i'll stop incubating eggs. What don't sell go in my bators. I always send extra's to the buyers. It keeps me from incubating them. I do have a lost package that i'll be replacing. The PO lost it. I'm not required to replace the eggs but I'd rather have happy customers than bad word of mouth. Bad news travels alot faster than good. I've worked to hard to have it ruined. My partridge eggs finally arrived after a week lost in the mail. Thankfully the seller sent 21 eggs instead of the 12 I paid for. So i'm hoping i'll get that new roo I desperately need. And with any luck at all a couple girls to replace the 2 I kept that are of his line. I'm only keeping the 1 partridge that I took to the show.

I lifted the hen off the porcelain silkie eggs today and something wasn't smelling very good. Actually pretty rotten. I wonder if it's the poop in the nest or an egg. I sure hope it's not all the eggs. There are 3 left. She poked a hole in one egg. It was clear anyway but still just 3 left and I have no idea if they're developing. I guess I can take my candler out there and check them but it sure is cold outside. Brrrrrrrr

Now if I could get my hands on some lavender silkie eggs and some buff. I'd have all the colors I want for the time being anyway. There are still the paints out there. It's kinda like electronics. When something new comes out what was the most popular gets cheaper. I've seen hatching eggs for paints go for $400.00 for 6 eggs just last month. Now it's getting colder the price is going down. Maybe I'll be able to nab some before it freezes.
