I am naturally drawn to older people and I met one old timer that told me how to build a cheap possum trap. It has stuck in my mind now for a while and was wondering if anyone had used it. He said that once a possum gets into your barn it will always walk as close to the barn as possible until he finds an opening. You are suppose to take a 55 gallon barrel and sit it beside the barn with a 2 x 6 running up to it. He told me to collect a days worth of eggs and throw them in the bottom and smear one egg all the way down the board. I guess that the possum will smell the smeared egg and walk up the board and when he tries to get the other eggs he falls in. If someone has possum problems this may be worth it over buying a live trap. If you use it and it works let me know. The only down size was that he said it caught skunks too..............

If you do and it works let me know Timbo. I have learned a lot from my older friends and its stuff that most would have never even thought of. Try WD-40 if you ever have a young rooster with scaly leg.............it works.
