This is a Heritage Barred Rock. Is this a showable bird? The eggs are up for sale for $35 including shipping for 8+ eggs. Is that a good price? The shipping would be around $8 to ship from the breeder to this area. It's like $3.38 per egg, a rough estimate. Fair price, yay or nay? Attachments:

The person that has them says they've shown the adults but didn't say if they placed or anything. I thought they where very pretty. I'm not looking to start another breed here. But they sure are pretty. I want to get another black orp hen to replace the one the snake killed but I don't know how well the other hens would treat her.

Same people have Heritage RIR and they are beautiful. They have a rich dark red color, just beautiful.

I thought this would be as good as anywhere to put this. somebody in Memphis claims to have these rare and imported chickens. They are asking an arm, leg and a few ribs for them but I just thought somebody might be interested. There are red Orpingtons. I've never seen them before nor heard of them but they are beautiful. There are other breeds but they have different color orpingtons than what I've heard of or seen. Here is the link in case anybody may be interested or just wants to take a look. jacksontn.craigslist.org/grd/4010656618.html
