Here is a cool recipe i found while searching different links: www.poultryhelp.com/hotdogsurprise.html
Hotdog Surprise Recipe for predator problems
We have been asked numerous times how to get rid of ground predators such as Raccoons, Opossums, Skunks, and feral cats and dogs. The best way is to trap them in a live-trap and either relocate them or dispose of them in some other way. If you don't mind killing them, read on...
I went to a local feed store a while back and asked about the effectiveness and price of live traps for ground predators. His response was "hot dogs are a LOT cheaper than a live trap."
Coons LOVE hot dogs. Buy a ten pack of cheap hot dogs and a bottle of old style anti-freeze (the new stuff isn't poison). Use 4 or 5 hot dogs at once. Get a syringe from your feed store or Tractor supply and fill the hot dogs with as much anti-freeze as you can and then poke holes in them with a fork and marinate them in more antifreeze for a few hours or overnight. Put them on a paper plate and be sure all birds and pets are penned where they can't get at them. Place the plate of hot dogs where the predator has been or is likely to go. You can pour some more antifreeze over them. It tastes sweet and they might just lap it up. It won't kill them right away, but they'll crawl off to their hidey hole and not bother you any more...
Be sure and collect any uneaten hot dogs before letting your pets/birds out the next morning. We got rid of a whole family of coons this way a few years ago.
