Alright already, Am I the only one that has luck this bad with my birds?
With you guys help I defeated the racoons, got rid of the opposums and neutralized the Neighbor. Now I have a new critter killing the birds. It got my last turkey yesterday. The culprit: a BOBCAT!!!
I saw him last night at 4:13 a.m. My Great Pyreneese was going nuts and I went to investigate. I spotted him with a light and he took off before I could get a shot.
Can you trap them? What's the best way to get rid of them? Thanks for all of the help in the past.

OYA, they are tough. They can be trapped but its not easy. You have a BIG live trap? Have a bird you're willing to sacrifice? Good luck!

You can trap them, and if you don't want to deal with it, and your close, my husband would LOVE to come trap it for you. He's eat up with the trapping right now.

What kinda of critters are you looking for? Daniel usually works the hides up and keeps them or he gives them to his little cousin who is learning how to trap, work and sell hides. But if you want birds to practice on I can get you ducks all day.
He went through the whole "I wanna learn taxidermy phase" a few years ago. We have EVERYTHING you could possibly imagine needing to work up animals. I think he did about 6 ducks and that was it. lol.

Herb- It really is a shame you don't live closer because in a few weeks after we've stocked up on duck meat we will more than likely be giving them away. Especially if you can dress your own.
You need to give me that recipe!

That would be great spamela. I have three ducks awaiting fleshing now but they are gonna be my first so may not turn out just right. LOL. I'm wanting to try everything waterfowl, upland bird, predator, large game, what ever. If you have any supplies that yall want to sell let me know. I'm starting from scratch. Thanks rockashaw. maybe yall can trap that kitty and get him out of there. Herb, we gotta get u fixed up with some food. LOL

I hope to get some boiler chickens or something for chicken meat next spring to raise. I just got alot planned for next year. If anyone knows of anybody who will have a calf I will be looking for one to raise to for meat. Gloria
