One of the very first chicks we had was a really pitiful thing. It grew at about half the rate of the others so by the time the other chicks had been moved to the big pen, it was still in the brooder box. We then decided to get two baby ducks. Well the chicken then started taking on the mannerisms of the two ducks. So it was dubbed "Chiduck." They all remained best of buds until I had to kick the ducks out onto the pond.

I have two Ameraucana hens I just call "The Zsa-Zsa's" after Zsa Zsa Gabor as their neck "beard" and ear tuffs look like they are wearing a feather boa!

I have a gamehen named Buzzsaw and thats not a crazy name, when she has chicks and you reach into the coop - you look like your arm has been buzz sawed.
I learned to retrieve and fill waterer really fast.

Well We have a banty rooster called "Napoleon" for obvious reasons.
A Mixed rooster Called "The Governor" Cause he wants to be in everybodys business.
A Turken Rooster we call "Buzz" because he looks like a buzzard.
A Giant Partridge Cochin that we called "Lord Nelson" ,until he got killed, because he walked pompously.
The neighbors nicknamed the guinea fowl "The Jones" because they are everywhere except where they belong.
But the worst name is "Petunia" that my 6 year old daughter gave to my American Game rooster. Such an inglorious name to such a nobel bird.
