I go to the Gleason livestock auction as a last resort when I need to sell some birds. It's pretty much give and take on their quality. I personally don't like how they handle the birds. They grab and just pull them out of the cages by their wing then hold them up by their wing to show the people to auction them off. They have no requirements about being NPIP certified. I've seen some really bad looking birds and goats people have brought to sell. Although everything sells it may not sell for much. If you get there around 8 am and sit and babysit your birds so nobody puts theirs ahead of yours, you would have a better chance of getting a better price. For those wanting to buy You'll want to again keep an eye on what comes in. Everybody is free to wander anywhere they want and you can check out the birds, goats, sheep or whatever your interested in buying. Then when it is it's turn in line you will know more of what your getting. You can usually find the seller and be able to ask questions as far as if it's mixed or certified, whatever you want to know before you bid on it.
But I also have many silkies and sizzles for sale. Breeders are on site and my birds are NPIP and AI certified. They are free of parasites and sickness. If you look thru the pics I post I can always bring what you may like to look over to the meeting or your free to come here and look thru all I have for sale. At the end of this month i'll be selling my blue silkie rooster and hen. He is not bearded. She will be 2 years old in the spring and he 1 in the spring. I also have a partridge hen that will be sold that is a year old as of last november. She is currently laying.
I have black, blue, blue partridge, buff partridge and white colors. You've been here before so you've seen most of what I have when they where smaller.
