got both my new bators runnin got 1 batch set on the 29th and another one set today. is ok to stack a few eggs on top of the other ones? this is my first time hatching any eggs ive been keeping the humidity btw 45-55 and temp at 99.5 and 100. anybody see anything wrong with what im doing? ive got a variety of eggs in there how am i supposed to know what is what when it hatches unless i see what shell it comes out of. i know chicks are different colors but i guess i will just have try to catch em as their hatchin.

I set about twenty last night got up this morning temp was 106. I turned it down but figure they are gone. I will candle in a few days.

Do you have an automatic egg turner or are you turning by hand? If by hand they should be ok but if its automatic I'd worry the top eggs will roll off. As for knowing the chicks....you just have to know what type of hen laid them and mark them before you place them in.

Yeah I've got automatic turners in both my bators but they've been stayin up there ok none have rolled off yet so I don't think that will be a problem just didn't know of it would affect the other eggs
