I'm thinking of going to the Newnan show next month. Is anybody else planning to go? I've never been and whats the use in going when I have some real nice silkies to show so if I go i'll show a few and give it a shot. Couldn't hurt.
I'm definately gonna bring my buff roo any suggestions on who else? Probably the blue pullet and a black hen maybe. Mine have been breeding so most of the girls that are apa standard have had their feathers pulled and wore. I don't think a month will be enough time to repair.

Newnan GA at the fairgrounds. It's a big show. I just hope my papers come in from getting my birds tested before then so I don't have to do it again.
We've talked about it and in the works of planning for it but I plan to go on down to FL to visit a few friends and i'm Hoping my Niece from Indiana will come down here and ride with me. She wants to go to florida so here's her chance. I don't want to travel to GA alone and if she don't go i'll just come on back home instead of to florida. Anyway it would be nice to know somebody else there.

I may be going alone. If my niece decides not to go with me somebody can ride with me. I'm only gonna enter a couple and if I get buyers before I go i'll bring some to sell. I'll be leaving on friday and come back on sunday.
But i'm still waiting to hear from my niece, so I don't know if I'll have the room yet. As soon as I find out i'll post it that way if somebody wants to go with me they can make their plans for the trip. All I would ask is to split the fuel cost and get your own room. I would snore anybody out of the place. lol

My niece is going with me so after the show on sunday we'll be going on down to florida to visit relatives. My niece has always wanted to go to florida so here is her chance. Only one thing is I'd rather not travel and have to tend to 2 chickens while we're gone if I don't have to so is there anybody that would be willing to bring my birds home with you till I get back and i'll pick them up. The plan is i'll be home by late saturday night on the 23rd. They can stay in their cages if somebody would just keep them in their garage or shed and tend to them for a week. I'll pick them up on sunday and would be happy to pay somebody for taking care of them for me. It will only be 2 silkies. A roo and a hen.

I now what you mean about room. I'll be going with 4 in 2 cages and our luggage to last a week in Florida. My niece called tonight and let me know she can go and can have off the whole week so we extended our stay till saturday. I would pick them up on sunday. I decided to bring a black hen and the buff roo. I'd bring the self blues but they aren't an accepted color. I wish I had one of those books that tells what is accepted colors. I know they added one or two colors but I have no idea which ones it is. I've got some pretty self blues if anybody is interested in any. Silkies of course. I've got a beautiful splash pullet but she has a few buff feather tips that could go away when she moults and she could get more. She's already a good mother. I was planning to keep her just to raise the youngsters but if somebody wants to buy her i'd sell her. She's super friendly too. She was a lone chick and she got alot of attention.

I'll be bringing 2 cages but i'm selling the ones that will be in one of them if you want you can use it to put what your gonna buy in it instead of bringing another cage if you want. I'll make sure my birds are parasite free and i'm even gonna disinfect the cages to kill whatever might be living in them too so your birds will be safe to put in them. If I wasn't bringing a roo and a hen to show I would just use one cage but I don't want any hanky panking going on.

Lol. I'm bringing my cage that has the blanket stapled to it so no feathers will be blown off and hopefully this year it won't rain. But I will have another cage with me that is my double so I will be good.i should have plenty of room though. I won't be able to make it to Milan unless something changes. I had a job come up and they want it done ASAP.

I should have named this roo Casanova instead of pumpkin. Maybe Charlie from 2 and a half men. He's been trying to woo Jingles for a few hours now. He's running loose and she's in a cage. He hasn't hardly left the cage trying to find a way in. lol Chickens are so entertaining. She's like NA NA NANA NA. lol
