Couple days ago found my beautiful lil black gamecock hopping on one leg and feathers inside and out of his pen. Knew something had gotten hold of him.
Last night big ole stinky momma possum walked into my trap. END OF STORY

Caught a young fryer size possum. Thought about feeding him out on fruit for a couple of weeks but didn't have a single coop or cage open. Sorry folks, no possum dinner this round. Just a lot of happy maggots.

Show them to the chickens and you will have a lot of happy chickens!
I tried eating a possum one time and I can honestly say that you made the right decision Herb!

We have recipes for possum ( we have recipes for everything though) but I've never tried it. Not sure I'd want to. Isn't it supposed to be really greasy?

Yeah, its greasy but it has a very gamey taste in that greasiness that will just about turn your stomach. I've never had raccoon but Audrey swears its some of the best meat she has ever eaten.

The secret is to feed them apples and oranges for 2 weeks to clean them out.
I have a recipe for sail possum soup. Do you dare ask?

Live traps - kind of mislabeled aren't they.
SCRATCH one momma coon and one young possum.
